This privacy page explains browser-only calculator inputs, optional saved plans and ordinary website requests. Your browser processes calculator entries. The calculator code does not submit or save body weight, body fat percentages or food calculations.
Food and recipe links
Links between food records, recipes and the food calculator can include a public food identifier and serving grams in the URL. Do not use those fields for personal or medical information. These URLs may appear in ordinary browser history and hosting logs. Recipe block filters can also appear in page URLs; they do not include body weight or body fat. Portion controls run in your browser and do not change saved recipes.
Contact messages
When you submit a message, the contact form sends the name, email address and message you enter to the website’s configured administrator by email. The form does not save a copy in a WordPress post. The configured email service and mail-delivery plugin may retain delivery and error records. The form uses a short-lived hashed network-address key to limit repeated submissions. Do not include medical records or other sensitive data.
Website requests and cookies
Hosting systems can keep access and security logs. WordPress administrative and customer sign-ins use authentication cookies. The account form also uses a secure, session-only anti-forgery cookie. We keep optional Yoast usage tracking and automated search submissions disabled. Wordfence supports website security and may process network addresses and technical request information in security logs.
External resources and services
External research and USDA links follow their destination’s privacy practices. The tools do not append calculator inputs to those external links. Hosting, security and email providers have their own privacy practices and may retain access, security and delivery records.
Optional accounts and device copies
You can use our public calculators, recipes, meal builder and planner without an account. If you choose an account, we store your email address, display name, a protected password hash and the recipes, collections, meals, plans and shopping lists you explicitly save. Verification and password-reset emails help protect access. Body measurements are not included in account saves.
Your saved items are private to your account. Sign in on another device to open a saved copy. Saves are explicit; unsaved changes do not automatically sync. Newer edits are protected from stale overwrites. You can export your saved items from My Dashboard. Moving an item to Trash hides it and allows restoration; it remains in your account storage until a verified removal request is completed.
Remembering guest tools and saving offline copies uses this browser profile’s storage. Other people using the same profile can see those device copies. Use Clear device copies on My Dashboard or Device Kitchen on a shared device. Signing out through My Account clears offline recipe/shopping copies. Existing guest tool memories can be cleared in each tool. Offline shopping edits stay on this device until you choose to save a new account copy online.
Security rate limits temporarily store hashed network identifiers for up to an hour. Hosting and security logs and restricted backups may retain information under the site’s existing operational practices. Backup copies are not immediately removed by deleting a live record. Contact the site administrator using our Contact page to request account or saved-data deletion; verified requests can be handled using WordPress privacy tools. We do not sell account saves or make them public.
Recently viewed recipes
The recipe library can show up to 12 recipes opened in the current browser tab. This uses temporary session storage, contains only public recipe identifiers, titles and links, and is not sent to an account. Use Clear recently viewed to remove it; closing the tab ends the session.
Sign-in security checks
When the site’s existing Wordfence reCAPTCHA protection is enabled, the sign-in form uses Google’s security check. The check processes browser and network information under Google’s privacy practices. Additional email verification may be required. This protection does not run in the public calculators or recipe browsing tools.
Optional usage analytics
Choose Allow or Do not allow in the privacy notice. The public tools work with either choice. You can reopen Privacy choices at the bottom of any page to change your choice. The choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days; another browser or cleared storage requires another choice. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable optional collection.
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 is used on general information pages, including the home page, blog articles, About and our policies. Google receives usage and device information and processes connection information, including your IP address, under its policies. Analytics cookies help measure visits. We omit URL query strings and referrers from the page views we send and disable advertising signals and personalization in our tag configuration. Google Analytics is not loaded by this site on account pages, recipes, food search or calculator and planning tools. Google Privacy Policy explains Google’s processing; Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on is another available control.
With analytics allowed, our own server also counts completed tasks such as generating a plan, saving a meal, collection or shopping list, and saving a recipe offline. It collects browser performance ratings for loading, interaction and layout stability, grouped as mobile or desktop. These are daily aggregate counts retained for up to 90 days, not individual visit histories. The analytics request does not include body measurements, food-search text, saved content, email addresses or account IDs. Ordinary server logs still record requests, and short-lived hashed rate-limit keys limit abuse. Administrators are excluded from these counters.
Choosing Do not allow prevents these optional analytics requests. Withdrawing permission removes accessible Analytics cookies and stops collection on later page loads; it does not retrospectively erase aggregate counts or Google’s previously collected data. Browser settings and Google’s controls govern any other Google cookies or processing outside this site.
Optional Google sign-in
If you choose Continue with Google, Google handles your Google password and consent under its own privacy policy. Through our sign-in provider, Nextend Social Login, we receive your Google account identifier, email address and basic profile information such as your name and profile image. We store the account connection so that a returning Google sign-in opens the same member account. Google-confirmed email verification can satisfy verification for a new member account. This sign-in does not give us access to your Gmail messages or Google Drive files.
Existing password accounts are not automatically linked by email address. You can connect or disconnect Google in Account settings after confirming your current password. Disconnecting Google does not delete your member account or saved items. Use our Contact page for account-data removal requests. Google authentication operates when you choose Google sign-in independently of your optional analytics choice. Read Google’s Privacy Policy for its processing.
